The Holy Spirit works in believers' lives beyond salvation, offering both sustaining intimacy and transformative power. While salvation through Jesus is foundational, being filled with the Holy Spirit enables Christians to access divine authority and power. This filling process requires complete surrender, allowing the Spirit to prune away impurities and change our perspective of others from judgment to compassion. Hindrances to this work include fear of losing identity, building on wrong foundations, allowing sin to remain, and focusing on sin rather than Jesus. Living by the Spirit daily means abiding in Christ with childlike faith, speaking God's words, and giving authority to Jesus rather than our problems.
